chewed cord on amp

ok so a family friend game me this amp that was in their basement but the cord has been chewed by rats or somethin'

how would I go about attaching a new grounded cord?



also it's dirty and rusty as fuck and I tried wiping it down with some water but that didn't do anything, got any tips on how to clean it?

just replace the cord and solder in a new one. you might not even need to solder. I would only use a 3 prong plug if the original equipment had a 3 prong plug.

Some Never Dull should help with the rust, just make sure you wipe away the residue from it.
