Delay or Reverb or both!!
Does any you use delay to get a reverb sound? Just thinking of cleaning up my board and don’t know if I need BOTH delay and reverb

Re: Delay or Reverb or both!!
I'm not really a fan of reverb. Aside from an amp with built in reverb, I don't have any device capable of creating reverb. So, if I'm playing something that calls for anything remotely resembling reverberant sounds, this is what I do:
I take a flanger, turn it on and zero out all the controls. This creates a short delay. Then I combine that short delay with a slightly longer delay from a nice analog delay pedal. This gets me close enough to any reverb I may want. Doesn't result in washes and washes of reverb, but unless I'm playing Surf music I generally prefer sounding on the drier side of things anyway.
I forget where I learned this, but it serves me well enough. Try it, unless you need metric shit-tons of reverb it's a pretty nice trick.

You mustn't separate the holy combination! BOTH!
You could get an EQD Dispatch Master to conserve space if you're worried about board real estate.

Reverb pedal before OD/Fuzz. OD/Fuzz before delays. Delays before spring reverb unit. Fun variety of sounds.

I like reverb, my amp has a pretty ok spring tank. But I get most of my verb out of a SMMH, it actually has pretty ok reverb in it, especially splashy, washy sounds.

I really dig the VanAmps Solemate.
My Sunn has some pretty bitchin verb though, so only when I get another amp (most likely an AC30) will I go with the VanAmps Solemate, but it sounds astounding

Re: Delay or Reverb or both!!
definately both.
the Dispatch Master is the shit! i havent thought about another reverb or delay pedal since i started using one. i run amp reverb at least halfway up all the time and kick on the DM for a slapback echo and even more reverb where needed.

Re: Delay or Reverb or both!!
Currently, I’m using a Ghost Echo and a Disaster Transport. Love both, just wondering if the DT can be used for reverb as well. I know it won’t be the same per se, but I also don’t get crazy with the GE.
Basically, does anyone use their delay to mimic reverb?

I jus' tol' you. I do.
flanger + delay = fake reverb
or
delay + delay = fake reverb
Whatever way you wanna do it.

Yeah I use really fast repeats for a reverb-ish effect sometimes. It's distinctly not reverb though
