Help CC/DC not working
The black wire that runs from the battery is not connected. Where do I hook it up to? its connected from the battery. Where do I connect the other end?

the black wire goes to the ring lug of the input jack. The red wire should be solder to the pcb.

Old one. Re-solder, not a PRO job, but it works.

well its kinda a myth that the battery would always connect to the ring. the ring of the input jack and the sleeve (any sleeve) work together to make a switch. if the circuit, volume knobs, LED ground, footswitch ground all connect to the ring already, then you would connect the battery black to the sleeve (any sleeve). usually the circuit is just on the sleeve and the battery is on the ring though.

Well, yeah, if you wanna get that technical.
The "ring" lug would connect to the ring of a stereo plug, but since pedals use a mono plug, they just connect to ground (the sleeve)-- but they're not connected to anything until you plug a cord in. If you connected the battery anywhere else, it would always be draining-- whether it was plugged in or not 'cause pedals don't have a power switch.
I doubt anyone makes their pedals with the grounds run to the ring instead of the sleeve/enclosure.

I've done it before. I dont do it anymore. there really is no reason why people wont do it. you have to be prepared for anything when your repairing someone else work.
