DE SM/VFM Layout

Post by jfrey »

Just drew these up. Look right?

Long version:

Square-ish version:

DESMVFM2.jpg

The images are a bit bigger, so open them up larger if you can't read them. Also, now that I think of it, transistors can take up two column spaces not one depending on the adjacent components - whatever, doesn't change the circuit. I guess later today maybe I'll redraw them for accuracy.

here is what i get from the top layout working backwards

Image

it looks the same only you are missing the pots and the 1k below the signal in pot.

That resistor doesn't seem to do much though other than limit the range of the input pot such that you cant turn the volume all the way down to zero.

Yeah, the stuff left out I meant to leave out. I just drew up the board.

I was pretty sure it was right, I just wanted to double check. I have this issue - same thing happens when I'm programming - where I'll do the work, everything is perfect and I'm confident in it 100%. Then I look at it the next day and I don't even understand how it works. I might as well have created it in a dream because it doesn't make sense to me anymore.
