OK, ugly as shit... But this thing sounds soooo great. I got this instead of the Strymon to avoid the wait, and markup. I still may try the Strymon at some point, but this thing sounds awesome!
And I got a Boss Slicer coming. I'm pretty stoked about that as well. Time to get HEALTH.
EDIT: Got the Slicer! This thing is SOOOO BADASS. Seriously some of the most fun I've played in a long time.

Obviously the DC has tubes and less knobs, but are the delays the same?
I think they share a couple of the same delay algorithms and the modulation is identical, according to Strymon. The new Timeline adds several new modes and eliminates a couple from the original.
The other key differences I can recall is the Strymon has 12 delay modes vs 7 (I think for the DC), 30 second stereo looper vs 20 second 2-track looper, and 200 presets vs 8 presets. I'm sure there's plenty that I'm forgetting but those are some of the big ones.
One of the good things about the Strymon Timeline is the price drop on the DC Timelines, which were inflated, and the Cappuccinos.

Strymon Website wrote:Damage Control was founded in 2004 with the release of our line of tube-driven effects pedals, which earned critical acclaim and became favorites among guitarists across the globe. Strymon was founded in 2008 with the release of the SVpre tube preamp for Line 6 Spider Valve. In 2009 we all teamed up and began co-developing products. Now we’re one happy family!

Yeah pretty much. IIRC it was 2 guys from DC teamed up with another engineer to form Strymon. Then that cool State Shirt looper kid jumped on board, and now they are the current TGP/HC religion. Jesus? He's the guy that assembles those amazing delays amirite?!?!!!??
I did notice the huge drop in price on those DC TLs. Perfect time to buy. You're playing the game right hazel!
