$1300 not bad; assuming that humbuckers are your thing.

musicians friend description wrote:The Kurt Cobain Jaguar® is meticulously modeled on the battered and highly unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain wielded during the heady early-’90s era when Nirvana ruled rock and led a musically stunning and culturally subversive movement. Fender craftsmen have reproduced Cobain’s battle-hardened left-handed Jaguar down to the last unusual detail, including its worn finish, dual humbucking pickups and unique electronics and controls (which were already in place when Kurt acquired the guitar in summer 1991). Unique features include an alder body with Road Worn aged finish and hardware treatment, bound fretboard with pearloid dot markers, Stratocaster headstock shape with 1950s-style “spaghetti” logo, DiMarzio® humbucking DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary neck pickup and DP100 Super Distortion bridge pickup, triple knurled “chrome-dome” knob configuration (volume-volume-tone),three-position toggle switch, black chrome Adjusto-Matic™ bridge and Gotoh® sealed
tuners.

Includes a black textured vinyl hardshell Fender case and an exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book with photos and commentary by Charles Peterson and an insightful interview with Nirvana guitar tech Earnie Bailey.

Oh boy, another HH Jag. Clearly not enough options on that front.

I hate the relic'd finished, particularly on a guitar that costs upward of 1K. I'll relic that shit myself, eventually.

Wasn't Kurt's jag a hardtail?

Oh well. This seems kinda neat I guess. It's a bit expensive though.

I saw over on OSG that they're MIM. :idk:

I'd way rather go with the CP HH Jag over some poly-finished relic.

I don't know, it wouldn't surprise me but, it's not on the fender site and I didn't see anything in the pictures or the MF description that would indicate being made in Mexico or Japan; I didn't try very hard though so it's entirely possible I missed it.

$1300 MIM is CRAZY! must be all that relic labor?

I figured it was US as it's priced so close to the Sonic Youth JazzBlasters.

I was seriously considering buying one of these thinking they would be exactly like the ones previously released in Japan. I wouldn't buy a $300 dollar reliced much less a $1300 one. Add the fact that it could be one one of those flimsy MIM jobs is a definite no for me. It's a shame because this could have been a nice looking (and possibly playing) guitar.
