Now no bad effects were initially noticed, but i was wondering how likely the wax is to cause long term problems. It completely coated several resistors and a couple of capacitors. thanx candle wax spilled on electronics

candle wax spilled on electronics
OK, so at a show the other night my band's singer thought it would be hella atmospheric to put candles all over my bass amp... and one of them toppled over and spilled wax all down the vents onto one of the circuit boards

Honestly it most likely wont affect anything at all...unless its near something that can get hot and melts the wax again. I think some wax can conduct electricity when melted.

if it gets into a socket, you might have problems. not just tube sockets. solid state amps have ribbon cables in them for connecting daughter boards. your probably fine though.
