Would it be hard to add a 9 volt battery adapter to a pedal?

I'm about to buy this pedal, but the only way to power it is with a power supply. Now I realize I should stop killing the planet and get a pedal board and a power supply but I only have like 3 pedals now, so I just can't justify it. So is it hard to add a battery snap pedals? How would I go about it?

It's really simple(as long as you have space for a battery.) What you need to do is solder the red wire from the snap to V+ and the black wire to ground this is usually the tip(centre) on the dc jack. Usually V+ GND etc is silkscreened on the pcb but otherwise follow the wires from jack (with the tip being ground -black wire)

Also if you don't like soldering i've seen battery snap to 2.1mm adapters around. But you have to put up with a battery on the outside.

i did this once for my portable record player, but I soldered a battery clip to a DC Jack instead of messing w/ anything internally.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. As long as there's not too much soldering, I should be okay. Though the adapter does sound interesting for having around when a battery dies. I'll have to look into that too.

Even if you only have three pedals, batteries are going to cost you more in the long run, a one spot is only like twenty bucks and 9v's pretty expensive.

was gunna say this earlier as well. $20 bucks is the equivalent of like maybe 10 or so 9v batteries or somethin, and thats if u buy them in a bulk pack. and u also dont have to remember to unplug your pedals everytime u are done playing to avoid draining them while not in use.

It just seems so odd to have a power supply and no pedal board. Though I guess I should plan for the future and get one anyway. My bad habit of leaving cables plugged in probably hasn't helped my situation much though.

you might need to use a stereo jack so it doesn't kill the battery when not in use.
