Fulltone Fulldrive Mosfet totally rocks and...

Post by DarkAxel »

...absolutely fucking rocks, hands down :)

my first experience with it, traded it for Wampler Pinnacle. When it comes to ODs, i look for transparency and twangy punch... this has tons of both :) the Standart mode seemed pretty shit to me but since i tried the Mosfet mode, i've been lost (in awesomeness)

i'm currently comparing it with Catalinbread DLS - one has to go... i've been more than happy with DLS on 12V, but now i'm not sure... it's a bit more "farty" than the Fulldrive and even on 12V the Fulldrive (9V) seems to be more dynamic and clear... like that kind of pedals you'd leave on for the whole set

btw i didn't really like Fulldrive on 12V

another pro is that it sounds so great after my Pigtronix EP-1 that i might not want to sell it anymore :)

i tried it in front and after Fix'd Fuzz and i love it in front of it... even for leads (DLS was always after - with great results)

there is however a strange con - the mosfet mode with wah just sounds a bit weird, especially used for funk rhythm (yeah, i'm into that... my last band was very funk oriented)

and the boost is a bit weird... surprisingly making things pretty muddy sometimes...

anyway... these are my thoughts right now... it will be a tough fight, but so far Fulltone is winning

edit: also thanks to the ILFer who recommended trying it to me :) i don't remember who it was though...

Yah, the blue one. It's pretty awesome, one of my friends has one, one of the leds is broken, but besides for that, it's an awesome pedal. It's also really cool on bass too.

i don¨t know, i didn't even like 12 volts

plus i'm using 12v supply, because i don't have a 15v or 18v one  but i might buy some soon

anyway - my only complaint so far is about the boost making things muddy... but i'm gonna play with it much more today so i'll try to find some cool sounds :)

but shit is indeed tight... i believe my DLS has just been replaced (wow, never thought i'd ever say that)

edit: added some mids on my amp, added some tone on Fulldrive -> goooood :)
