If anyone is looking for a cheap vibrato...go buy a Danelectro DC-1.

18v, clone of the boss ce-2. Very very easy mod. SPST, two wires. Just imitating a cable being plugged in to the stereo output jack and not going to anything.
Result, full wet signal.

Reading over at diystompboxes, someone did it to the boss ch-1 so I figured it would work the same, and like magic it did.

If I can get a decent recording setup going maybe I'll demo it.

the behringer uv300 is a pretty cheap vibrato. I just bought 3 of them :cool:

and I dont have a 18v power supply. too much crap to worry about.

Cool! I've done the same thing with other stereo pedals, but not the chorus.

It's worked on stereo delays, like the boss dd's, my old arion stereo phaser would do it too I'm pretty sure. The cs9 was actually the first pedal I tried it on. Didn't know you had gotten rid of that one. I know I missed it after I sent it to you

Remove the dry path on about any analog chorus and you get a vibrato. One popular tiny vibrato pedal applies the same principal to a classic phase circuit.

Pretty sure you just use an spst to simulate the stereo output being plugged in. So like...connect ring to sleeve?

Didn't work. Even when used is it stereo the dry signal came through both outputs.

You shouldnt have the stereo out plugged in at all.

You can plug a patch cable in the 2nd output and have it connect to nothing, that should simulate what the switch would do.

Yeah, that's what i mean. I tried it on both outputs and the wet and dry signal came through on both.

Can you do this to a Boss CE-3? I've got one and it would be a lot more useful to me as a vibrato.

Well it was done to a CE-2.

Like jero mentioned earlier in this, pretty much any analog stereo chorus can be turned into a vibrato, its just a matter of removing the dry signal.
