Elements...

Post by oinkbanana »

ryan, you told us that the Elements would be just like the Cleaness but with a little more.
so I swapped them out on my board for the last two weeks.
and now I've got a problem, I can't just use the Elements like a cleaness, all the extra things it does can't be ignored.
and I still need the cleaness as a cleanboost/EQ/always on. what have you done.

the gain from the elements is fucking awesome.
the drive pallet with the mix knob is really really something special. I'm going to need to put two on my board with different settings.
& the pedal loves bass. last spring I had recorded a Superbass>8X10 for grit with a B15 for the lows...
i can get that magic tone now with just this pedal, that was gonna be my secret master bass tone.
wtf man. ryan, do you hate my wallet? you're gonna make me go broke. I need some pizza money too dude.

i don't want to tell anyone about this pedal. so this is no a review.
stay away. you'll regret it. and if you got one already, don't bother trying it out, PM me cause i'm looking for another.
now posting as Forrrest.

Hey Hey!
I never tried the Cleanness.
But I imagine if you put the gain switch to low and all the other switches in the middle you have the cleanness?
I cannot compare them, never had a Cleanness.

I think he's implying that with all the bad ass tones contained within, you can't reduce it to Cleanness functions only, too much awesome to be had.

Should I just ask the post office to redirect my The Elements to you?

I'll make you a deal. I'll send you my The Elements if you agree to send me your Off-the-air Miniberator, and you also send me my The Elements back as soon as it arrives. :thumb:

brilliant

The Elements on the low gain side is not exactly The Cleanness, although you can achieve similar results.
The Elements gain range is somehow different, and you got the 3 clipping options not present on The Cleanness.

I completely agree, both pedals could be very useful together on the same board.
I think people who might have sold The Cleanness to get The Elements won't miss anything, but might end up regretting it.

Sorry for my lateness in replying here, Kev, and that's awesome to read! Really glad to hear you're liking the pedal!

Good point, Arturo, it's not exactly the same as the Cleanness in function but technically the exact same range of gain that the Cleanness has is available on the Elements. It just happens in a smaller window on the gain knob and you have to have the switches set right: Gain at bottom, clip at middle, bass cut at bottom, mids at bottom.

As for the bass demos... I'd love to hear some too! I don't have a bass.. I've been meaning to do a down-tuned guitar demo but I lost the steam for doing demos, my setup sucks.

Hopefully this month we'll see some nice store demos though!

That's nice to know, Ryan. I thought "flat" was with mids at top.

(I love asymmetrical on low gain) :animal:

I will sure try my best to do a good guitar demo before the end of the month! (I'm going to be away for around 2 weeks).

And by the way, your explanation about clipping on that other Elements thread is masterclass.

Well I hope you both do a demo! And send me tons of candy! Doesn't have to be fancy candy though.. doesn't even have to be in a wrapper or anything, I'm easy.

The traveling Elements is ready for its voyage and it'll go out next week.. so there's going to be a sign up thread for the traveling Elements and Tremolessence very soon, after the weekend.
