switch from pot to LDR with DPDT?
I've got a Logan Five build going, and I wanted to switch from the Freq pot to an LDR to control the frequency. I've got a DPDT toggle right now. Will this work? Is there a way to do this? I'm retarded.

Re: switch from pot to LDR with DPDT?
really easy, especially since you're using a dpdt.
disconnect the pot, then take two wires and put them where the pot was originally on the pcb. then attach those two wires to the middle two terminals of the switch
the ldr can take up two terminals above the middle terminals, and the pot can be wired the same way (only using two lugs, having both of them attached the switch), if that makes sense

The pot has three lugs, and the board has three spots for those lugs to be wired (via wires, not board-mount). Which pot lugs go to the switch, and which board spots go to the switch? I'm like special

it might be worth it to check the range of the LDR against the range of the pot. so if the LDR goes from 10k to 500k, it would be a perfect replacement for a 500k pot.

you could also do it like this. and you only need a spst really.
the difference is when the ldr is on, the pot is still in the circuit too so you can fine adjust the ldr reponse with the pot. with the pot at min, its like the pot is not there, and similar to the ldr mode in your other setup. so you can achieve everything from the other setup and more.
