New single using ILF fanboi pedlulz.

Post by StopReferencing »

http://dinosaurfeathers.bandcamp.com/ Hit play.

Noise that comes in during the solo is a Year 4545; weird filter-swell thing later that sounds like a keyboard is a Xerograph Deluxe with a Blue Sky Reverb, I think (not a keyboard).

Other pedlols - er, Black Cat BeeBuzz is most of the fuzz guitar during the chorus and bridge, Van Morrison rip-off lick is a Double Hotcake, solo is a Chicago Iron Octavian Plus. I think there's also some Analogman-modded DD-6 on most of the guitar stuff I did, and anything that sounds like modulation is an Analogman Stereo Bi-Chorus.

Also, that's me singing the falsetto parts - took a few takes. :erm:

I really dug it! There's just so much going on all at once musically (which rules), and it's a good, modern take on an older sound. Plus, so fuzzy.

It's Greg playing what is actually a solo using the Octavian and Bi-Chorus and me raping a guitar with the 4545.

i leik.

i'm really enjoying the trend of a more straightforward take on 60's pop in underground music. King Kahn, Cloud Nothings, etc.

its a good sound that sounds better through the punk filter, as elvis costello showed.

a) It reminds me a bit of the Hives, tho less punky, both are really good things.
b) I have a friend that is going to love this based on premise alone. It took me a minute to get the GoT refs, but my friend will get them off the pic and start of the song alone.

awesome sound! i love that 60s pop sound, and the solo just makes it with a nice stark contrast, but it still flows together
So this turned into another devi thread...
