Paisley Tubby Myxomatosis?

Post by Dandolin »

Does anyone have any experience of this fuzz?

I've seen pretty much universal acclaim for the quality of Paisley Tubby effects, but I haven't heard anything about this one.

No samples anywhere to be found.

And the description on the website, while hilarious (i'd probably pay to read an FX mag written/edited by P.T. and Dr. Scientist, especially if I was stranded in an airport or train station), is a wee bit vague.

Peep it:

http://paisleypedals.webs.com/paisleymyxomatosisfuzz.htm

Beyond the association with poor, sad, twitchy, eye-sore bunnies, the only other allusion I can think of readily is the Radiohead bass fuzz -- which is a Shin-ei Companion--and while I don't yet have my CultureJam-built GGG Companion, I very much doubt it, or any other Companion or clone, would mix well with the descriptors, "lovely" or "fat" (though beauty is of course, always in the eye of the be(holder)).

As always, will lavishly thank for any insight. :p

Funny, I was just looking at that fuzz as well. I similarly could not find anything about it...

I don't think the Myxomatosis is a Shin-ei variant -- haven't played it, haven't heard it, but I vaguely remember he said so somewhere...
Don't know what it is, but I bet it's a good un. I have a couple of his builds and they're great. Had a MkI too, but I punted it because my Vibra fuzz is a custom job with a MkI in it.
(Vibra Fuzz is amazing)

Oh, I plan to, no doubt (given his apparent sense of humor it will no doubt be a pleasant exchange), but I thought I'd check out the good word from my fellow fuzzites....

I've been gassing for the No. 219 fuzz, and not only because of my screen name
