Mammoth Customer Service - May 2011

Post by Fuzzrociouspedals »

Anyone have any inside word on Mammoth's Customer Service department as of late?

They sent me the wrong part, which I want to keep anyway...but the phone # on their site goes to "some dude" who does not work for Mammoth and they're not answering emails.

Clue me in!

Weird...
Two weeks ago, after almost a month of waiting, I asked them about my order and they told me USPS had lost it. They immediately sent it out again with supafast shipping :idk:

I've heard the communication is poor. sounds like they are Chinese importers maybe. that would totally make sense for the type of business it is. people have talked about them on diystompboxes

They have made small mistakes on almost every order I've placed. However, "blake" responded to my emails within 2 days every time, as well as replacing the parts instantly.

They seem like storefront for 4Site, really. Their address is in the same city and they sell almost exclusively 4Site stuff. They might just use 4Site for geographical/financial reasons too, though... dunno. It would explain why a lot of their stuff is so cheap.

They've gotten better since I've been using them. The only issue I ever really had was that they left hardware off of switches and pots, but it seems like they're changing that. At least with pots.

I've only placed one order with them and it went smoothly,....so,...I guess I don't really have a dog in the race yet.

I was going to place another order with them next week.

I've made 5 or so orders from them so far. Every order has come pretty quickly and without any problems.

So far nothing but good experiences.

That's exactly what they are.

I've made two orders. So far all good. I like their painted enclosures and their prices are pretty low for everything.

They missed a couple components in my last order. I emailed them, and Blake emailed me the same day apologizing for the mixup, and told me that the parts were going to be in the mail next day. They were.

I've dealt with most of the major parts sellers online, and Mammoth ships the fastest and has the best prices this side of Taiwan. Also their website is super clean, and easy to navigate which is important to me. They quickly moved to the top of my favorite places to buy my goodies.
