Noisy OLC Orange Peel

Post by BlindtoFaith »

I have an Orange Peel that I LOVE. In order to make the pedal have a little more gain I have the bias set pretty hot. However, this causes a little too much noise. Is there any way to combat this? Biasing it to cold really reduces the amount of gain on tap.

What kind of noise?

Is it hum or hiss or what?

The hum or early feedback is pretty normal and comes with "miss-biasing". I put a switchable microamp after my orange peel and this thing makes it real hot and singing when engaged. I could imagine this is more of the "grail" you were looking for.
