Awesome DIY Ebay Deals!!!!

Post by modernage »

I'm going to start posting stuff that I find that I think are awesome deals. Obviously I'm not going to set up a bidding war against myself by posting stuff I'm bidding on. haha. But I can't buy everything in the world, so I'd rather my fuzz buddies pick up some awesome deals then let 'em go to some douche who'll use the stuff to fix up old ham radios or some bull.

This might be a cool thread to have everyone be a part of. Post some links to auctions you love someone here to pick up. Could be a nice opportunity for someone who's just starting out to get some swag that us diy'ers already swoon over. Since is the DIY forum, lets keep it to stuff you can use for diy'ing. Gear that needs fixing up in order to properly function would fit in nicely here too.

Here's a couple to get things started:

16 POUNDS CAPACITORS ORANGE DROP SPRAGUE ALL TYPES NOS - I would be all over this if I didn't already blow most of my gear fund. There's still a day left, so it could still skyrocket out into space.

Lot of 19 Vintage Round 1/4" Knobs - Cool looking knobs. Could probably stamp them (ala culterjam), and put some lacquer over it to protect the stamping. Seller also has some pretty awesome looking vintage Bakelite/Dakaware knobs.

I'll try to keep posting some cool stuff as I see it.

That's the first time I've ever seen a lot of capacitors measured in pounds. I am impressed.

Here's some good deals with on Tropical Fish Capacitors:
Lot of 200
Lot of 100

This seller has some great prices on their listings, but since they are located in the Netherlands, the shipping prices are a little too outrageous for me. Perhaps some of you Euros can take advantage of these goodies.

I found a lot of russian germanium transistors on ebay but the model is something I never heard of. gt314b. I'm looking again right now and its all kinds of GT3xxx also I see lots of 2n pnp but none of them start with 2n2 or 2n5 or 2n39 so I have no clue if these will be good for fuzz or what hfe they are.

That's usually why I never buy any nos transistors^. I never know which ones are "right."
