PCB Layout - Whisker Biscuit (runoffgroove.com)

Post by culturejam »

I made up a new PCB layout for the Whisker Biscuit, a Muff-like circuit developed by runoffgroove.com. Details on their site:
http://www.runoffgroove.com/whisker.html

If you love the sound of a transistor Big Muff, you simply must build this one. It nails the classic Muff tone, but with far few components. This thing kills!!! :!!!:

The tone control is the same as that of any standard Muff, so any relevant mods (flat mids switch, etc) will work on the Whisker Biscuit as well.

I'm working on a proper build document that will include a list of mods, but it is not yet complete. In the meantime, you can get the schematic, layout, and transfer artwork here:
http://www.forrestwhitesides.com/node/108

I *will* be having pro PCBs made for this layout, but the artwork linked above can be used to etch a board for those of you who etch. I have tested this layout myself with my own etch, and it's good to go.

Nice!

I've always wanted to try out the Whisker Biscuit. I've been perfing my stuff for the past couple of years but have built my last couple of pedals with prefabbed boards and it is so much nicer and easier. Thanks for making the PCBs, I think I will definitely be getting one of those and a Logan kit from you in the near future.

Cheers
