Filter pedal

Do you know some filter pedals... different from the DOD 440 and DOD 440 clone and not base on auto wah?
There's the Lastgasp Art Laboratory Rattle Crow, but what else... something unusual and different?

I already have the Subdecay Proteus.

Cyber Psychic Filter... look interesting... but very expensive like all Lastgasp pedals. 399.99$

The Subdecay Quasar DLX... have some interesting filter sound... but I'm not into phaser (so I would use less then the half of the pedal).

If you dislike autowah you want something with lotso knobbies (that's why I prefer the prometheus to the proteus). Without full control it's just varying levels of autowah.

For not so expensive stuff there's 3leaf...the groove regulator is supposed to be meatball-ish on the cheaps.

The riddle Q balls can get some crazy insane tones in front of a fuzz or high gain.
If you drive a boost or just high output pickups into it and then run it into some high gain you can get some insane stuff.

if its not an envelope filter than its just a low pass filter. imo all the envelope filters are qtrons which is basically like an auto wah which is basically a low pass filter. the moog does it all. but I dont see how any pedal builder has anything revolutionary. if you just want a low pass filter without the envelope function than look no further than a wah or a tone knob.

hmmm i don't know if i agree with that.
first - wahs are band pass filters.
second - a tone knob equating to an active filter pedal? nope. can your tone knob self oscillate?

also, there are low pass filters, bandpass filters, high pass filters, notch filters and different combinations of those! many different filter flavors to choose from...

builders adding unique functions (modulation, etc.) to an already existing idea (the basic building block that is a filter) is the most revolutionary thing happening with filters. IMO, the fairfield circuitry four eyes is a cool take on a filtered fuzz.

name one high pass filter pedal for guitar. if I want self oscillating filters I dont want them in a pedal. I have self oscillating filters. the akai mfc42 and the Allen Heath vf1. I never knew wah was bandpass. I dont use them. but anyway, I see low pass and band pass pedals all over the place. all you can modulate with is an envelope or an lfo. where are guitarists gonna get CV from. at that point your really making modular synthesizers.

The Squarewave Parade MoleS20r has LP/BP/HP modes. The Syle Atom Filter is basically HP.

@sylnau - How about a flanger? If you find one where you can turn the modulation off or blend it out you'll have all kinds of cool filtering options at your fingertips. I think the current 4 knob MXR flanger can do this. The BYOC Flanger (kit flanger) can also do this.

how revolutionary is a 40 year old design. if I have to sit on the floor to use it then its not really a pedal in the traditional sense.
