Weird, same here! After lunch today, I was in the mood for Nirvana and listened through Nevermind. Good to know that Kurt's spirit is still among us.

Nirvana used to be my favorite band. They're the band that got me interested in playing music and made me learn to play instruments. There's something special about that.

My favorite memory with one of my friends is listening to In Utero while driving somewhere from "Milk It" to "tourettes" and screaming every line.

I remember my very first band in junior high covering "Come As You Are". We probably...actually no, we definitely butchered it, but we thought it was fucking awesome and that's all that mattered. I also just re-bought "Bleach" and "Incesticide" the other day and was reminded of why I loved them so much.

Let's just look back at the last 17 years of fantastic alternative rock that he inspired...uh...oh yeah...Kurt Cobain could apparently see into the future...no wonder he killed himself.

Great musician. Horrendous legacy.

I apologize for negative focus, but whenever I think of Nirvana, I don't think of their music(which is quite good). I think of the cavalcade of shitty fucking shit that has come since.

It's a shame that so many of the bands they influenced completely missed the point.

No no guys.
Not on a thread about him being dead.
People are gonna be emotional and stuff.
Be mature enough to not say anything.

If I think about it Bleach is in the top 5 albums that influenced me :thumb:

I think he wrote a bunch of great songs and Nirvana fucking rocked, the end.
