Feedback Loop Trouble. -w/ pic-

Post by smile_man »

My friend is b]uilding a feedback loop but it doesnt seem to be working. He posted a help thread on EA but no one answered so I offered to post it here for him.

Thnx.

hey EA, i was making a DPDT truebypass/feedback loop for my friend and i tested it as a truebypass before putting the feedback part in with the following results: the bypass works fine, when the effect is engaged theres a very loud buzz and no signal comes through, however when the patch cords from the effect are unplugged the buzz stops. also plugging a patch between send and return does not have the buzzing. any help would be appreciated thanks

I built one of these type of things the other day, had a similar problem too (buzzing and squeeling) i tried lots of different pedals and in the end it just turned out all i had to do was turn some of the settings down, stuff like chorus pedals squeel and fuzz pedals make some funny buzzing sounds, could be somthing else but its worth trying changing the settings before taking it apart or anything

Definitely depends on what you are plugging into the loop. It may be working correctly and just not liking what you put into it.

all of the ground lugs are just wired together and the two wires that go out on either side are the send and return
