Dr. Scientist RRR vs TC Hall of Fame

Post by Gunner Recall »

An early comparison by a guy on HCFX

http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2756770-My-review-TC-Hall-of-Fame-vs.-Dr.-Scientist-RRR-vs.-Strymon-Blue-Sky

Interesting about the mix knob (or the lack there of), my favorite thing about the rrr is how you can crank the mix and just REALLY drench your guitar in reverb.

It probably has to do with the whole "analog dry-through" thing. That's probably the main, if only thing that keeps me from wanting the Hall of Fame. Church mode seems amazing.

:?: Both the RRR and HoF have 100% analog dry

HoF is the first of the new uber-verbs that has somewhat interested me since getting my RRR. The WET and BSR, nice as they are, not so much. I had the TC Flashback for a week and thought it was pretty killer. Just too clean for me. The TonePrint thing is no gimmick, though. Works great and represents huge potential.

No worries, RRR does everything I want verb for. Does super subtle or crazy deep, GREAT tone, plays well in the chain no matter where it is. SUPER CHAMPION.

...but seriously, the RRR has been one of the top small form factor reverbs for years, it's interesting to see the first real contender come out.
Personally, I'd rather check out the flashback.

:idk: It was just a guess, to be honest haha

As much as I'd like to wait for the RRR v2, I may pick up the Hall of Fame simply due to cost.
But I still have love for heir doktor; my Tremolessence should be here this afternoon :yay:

Yeah there's a ton of cool reverb pedals available.. well every pedal really... it's cool though, plenty of room for everybody and their reverb pedal. The Space pedal, oh man, that's gotta be the ultimate reverb pedal... I wish there were more software engineers in our basement, we could really use a few.
