Who wants to debug my ridiculous mess of a pedal?

Post by jfrey »

It's my first build. And because I can never just leave things simple I had to make a bunch of changes to the original circuit... :picard:

I'll ship it to you and pay for shipping back if someone will fix it.

The circuit:

I followed the Silver Crank circuit and then added switches for the Dark Boost and Bazz Fuss mods. The wires follow the diagrams in that Silver Crank thread.

Hahaha. Don't worry, man. Even if you never make this pedal work, you got some soldering experience. You can try again.

I can't tell where the wires go, honestly. if the sound mutes, try reversing the jacks (just switch the two cables).

try every combination with those switches, too.

You sure you got the transistor pinout correct? On that metal can, the tab is closest to the emitter.

Pretty sure. It should be closest to the-upper most prong correct?

I'll fix it up for you. I'm guessing one or more of your mods might be messing something up; is it ok if I change it some, if that's the case?

Also, I won't steal your pedal. I'm in the good trader reference thread, if that helps. Send me a pm and I'll give you the address to send it to, and my email address and stuff.
