Anyone have any bands that are "out there" in a good way?

Not an indie band, but there are few groups more "out there" than Pivixki. They are an instrumental duo that plays avant garde classical piano + grindcore drumming. Their newest album is up on myspace. I think they add a little electronic into it. Their self titled album is just the piano and drums. Also, a lot of the drumming is less intense in the new album.

For an indie band check out Vivian Darkbloom. Their music isn't "out there" but there effects/instrumentation is. The guitarist rigged his guitar with a wiimote that controls his effects using the buttons as selectors and the pitch, angle, and motion of the guitar as variables. Also they're managed by a friend of mine.
