Bass boosting fuzz

Post by Bellyheart »

Any suggestions on fuzz with a substantial bass boost? The simpler the better. The smaller the better. The more bass the better.

Any one knobbers?

devi Ever Soda Meiser with the intensity rolled back. Dark Boost/Ruiner. The Wolf was designed for bass.

I;d imagine Dwarfcraft would be the place to go. Seeing as Aen plays in baritone/drop tunings.

^I'd imagine SS/BS flagship retains and pushes the low end, no? amiwrongk? :wha:

Soda Meiser, SPAE at some settings. TGD has lots of low end.

Put Your favorite almost bassy enough fuzz in the Fuzzhugger fx Hugger loop and it comes out angry and beefy on steroids, boosted near OD-ing. I've got a vintage Ibanez Standard Fuzz in there, basically a pretty rad vintage Super Fuzz clone on its own, with a scoop tone that pushes the low end ba-boom.

All depends quite a bit HOW low it should be, and on the original sound of the instrument...

Cherry Pop if you can find one (seriously, speaking as a bass player, this can give you more bass than anyone will ever need). Possibly a War Horse, since that's supposed to be an SM with tone control?

How about an octave-down fuzz?

The Great Destroyer boosted the bass for my guitar really well, it's really THICK

but because the only think my bassplayer played while we plugged in his bass wa some slap bass, can't really tell how it's with a bass guitar (he plays slap really often... starting to get boring - he is a big Flea fan :erm: )

That's a bit cheesy but to each their own. Anything else? I was expecting something I've never heard of...but all those are good suggestions though.

Give me more, there has to be a one knob labeled "more" out there.

The Great Wall has gobs of bass and Tom can put in an extra bass switch.

Jacques Fuse Blower has separate control for bass, treble and mids.

MI Audio GI fuzz, deep dark and lots of versatility.
