So I was watching Metalocalypse tonight and saw an ad for the DethKlok Gibson Explorer in silverburst, bound body and neck, fancy. Also said the Toki Flying V and Murderface Firebird bass are coming up next.
Not my style of guitar but this one looks pretty fuckin' sweet! Also, I love Brendon Small and that show! I find it hilarious that a cartoon metal band are the biggest selling death metal act in history and now getting their own signature guitars. This guy''s a genius and one hell of a player!

btw this "a cartoon metal band are the biggest selling death metal act in history"... trude, that's really funny... i also find funny that the only hip hop group that i really love is also not real i'm of course talking about Gorillaz and yes, i know they're not just pure hiphop and yes, i mainly talk about the debut album...

I saw them play with Converge/High On Fire/Mastodon, Dethklok was the tightest band of the night. Gene is a friggin machine behind the kit, and all the crazy guitar runs Brendon does while "singing" are scary good.
They kinda makes other metal bands look like cartoons

That would be more fitting.

Agreed, I saw them on that tour too and they were the highlight of the night. Also saw Brent Hinds destroy a really nice Silverburst Custom V that night that had been giving him trouble during the show. Smashed it headstock first into a brick wall, tore his rotator cuff, required surgery.
I would probably despise Metalocalypse if I didn't already love Brendan Small for Home Movies. Like so many adult swim shows, it's insanely surreal and graphic, but the humor is actually really subtle and laced in incredibly mundane dialogue.

Yea, Home Movies was great, I miss that show, especially Jason and Coach McGuirk! This last season of Metalocalypse was my favorite though, toned down a bit some would say, but hilarious in every way, oh and that mysterious ending.
