Love my EHFX POX and love oscillating fuzz. Devi Ever Disaster Fuzz is great, the Beautiful Disaster is also wonderful. Fuzzhugger Absynth is crazy with the oscillation. The Arc Flash Oscillator looks great, but I never actually played one. Seems to have some unique one-of-a-kind noises and screeches you can't find anywhere. The Velcroscillator is great, you can get some sputters going on. The Fuzz Factory is the least you unique oscillation, but does have a really cool feature of your sustaining notes slowly transition into the pitch of the oscillator.

It's all about taste. I couldn't tell you my favorite. I love the unpredictable Absynth, the Velcrosillator is fine, but I like more weird sounds that you can't get a whole bunch of from it, in respects to what is weird to me. I really wanna play the Beautiful Disaster. Not as wild, but I really like the tone of the oscillation. Sounds like a really dry synth.

Devi's Disaster Fuzz is a great pedal I got the honor of trying it out, I've always wanted to own the Arc Flash Oscillator. There arent many demos of it but from what ive seen and heard it is great for what im looking for. I love oscillating pedals but never got around to buying one because Ive been searching for one that is actually applicable for more than just harsh randomness. Does anyone have any thoughts about the AFO?

+1 on the ABsynth. I have the 5k version and it slays! Can be all out craziness or really tight, controlled heaviness. That pedals puts a shit-eating grin on my face every time I zone out playing it.

Yeah, the 5k is supposedly really diverse in sound, but I couldn't tell you since no one wants to demo it...but you can watch an Absynth demo and then a chalice demo...and pretend it's the samething.

AFO seems to get really wild. I say you get one, if you don't like it, you'll be able to flip that fast.

Haha... again with the 5k demo. I have an AB-Synth 5k, I just don't think I have any means of demoing it. One thing about it is that it was designed so you could play OVER the oscillation if you choose to, so it's totally useable as both a fuzzbox and an oscillator (like I mean even with the oscillation on). I've only tried two other oscillation pedals, and both of them were variations of the Soda Meiser in Chaos mode. Disappointing... or maybe just not comparable to the AB-Synth, which I think has the most versatility in weirdness, control, and goodness. I don't have a lot of experience with oscillators, but I don't think there are any that do better than the AB-Synth.

I say that you find a nice Fuzzhugger pedal that you like (Arc Flash, Velcroar, Algal Bloom, Great Wall, AB-Synth) based on the unique fuzz sound that it produces and get an oscillating version of that.

F'real.

Out of all the oscillating fuzz, AFO and ABS are the two that stand apart for me. Also that Oscillo 88, but who has that much bread?

Absynth is the only osc. fuzz I have used. It kills.

That right there is SOLID advice. And he's right on with the oscillation, you can fine tune the pitch with your vol/tone knobs, then play right over it. When you stop or let up, the oscillating whirlwind returns. It's can get super crazy but you can really reign it in and control it if need be and best of all, it hangs onto the bass, just dishes it out.

Really wish I could throw up that demo, but I too have no means of recording it. I know someone popped in last time saying they'd get right on it ;)

From what I'm hearing, the ABSynth is quite the oscillator.. Im torn between that and the AFO. I also want it to stack up with a Big Muff because I love pedals that mix well with my NYC BM.

The absynth owns because the oscillation is footswitchable (and the bare fuzz sounds pretty damn good)

Yeah I would definitely love to have one of those Manglers but I just don't wanna shell out $300 that quick. I was lookin more in the $100 range I guess. Like Devi Ever or Fuzzhugger
