Re: was super excited to start tracking tonight! RANT TIME!
We're here to help... Don't get down... Make plans to get: yo money back, the bill paid, or new friends... Sorry to hear that, would rather hear the music...

Sheesh, that's a nasty surprise. Reminds me of some equally unfortunate projects and then pursuits.
So... is the bill really bad, or just plain bad? You can't be hold responsible for paying more than the six months You've been in there, and if You share the costs with band mates it helps a lot. The situation calls for bands integrity and each members personal involvement to take care of even the nasty surprises. Because bands cease to exist if the crap like this falls on somebody to manage by himself. And it should be against the company interests to cut Your electricity if You pay it.

The lack of organisatory skills
And when I come round the bend wanting an explanation for ignoring - say - the stage plan and the list of ordered equipment and the memo explaining the reason for nights set up that was sent a good three weeks early before the show to three different persons week before the show
and I've been called unreasonable at face.
Yep. Organisatory skills in music biz = oxymoron.

you got that right.
stories like yours make me fume though.![]()
which is why i don't want to be a band leader anymore, my OCD does turn people off.
yet I doubt we'd be recording if i wasn't like that.
the bill isn't terribly all that bad. They totally jumped the gun on cutting the power imho
it's only 400$ for the last two years.. and the local organizer wants half of that from my band which is fair on his behalf.
the music, & i hope to have new tunes up soon
I'll be waiting for the music
hope there's a lot of it run through Your absolutely crazy bad ass giant pedal board and the dozen delays
To me the 200$ doesn't sound that bad, it's not like he'd be ripping You off or anything like that. Just have the trouble solved quickly to keep the electricity on and the band rolling! Even with all the backfiring plans and the future troubles for the disorganized fucks
it's (usually) better than dropping it altogether, at least as long as it's productive and just consuming.

tomorrow is bass.
the ball is back on.
i can't wait to do my parts. I won't sleep for 4 days straight.
and i've got 2 new amps to use/try out.... a Garnet PA400 & an Orange AD140TC along with some monstrous new 1X18&2X10 Fender BXR Spectrum
hopefully that 18" delivers.
2009 Rick or 1972 fender p-bass? we'll find out tomorrow!
18"s are built for über low end, oh hell yes, but they can get loose with the trebly highly end frequencies in the fast parts. So if you're about to do 16ths in fast tempo, prepare to mic the 10"s, too, properly and You should be on the safe side
Rickenbacker has got the very low end and the high mids that the cab is made for, but I think the Rick and the Prescision should both sound awesome through that rig so do them BOTH!
