I worked on a Fender Super Champ today

It's a Rivera designed variation on the classic Champ model.

It's a little noisy and as some crackle on the Master Volume.

It's also bern heavily modded, so here's what I've figured out so far:

The reverb tank was removed, and the pot that controlled reverb level now adjusts the amount of mid boost that the Pull For Mid (Treble pot) adds.

The outside lugs of the Master Volume is bypassed by a 100pf cap, and the cap across the input jack is gone.

The footswitch which activated the Lead "channel" is gone, so the Lead Level pot is always active in addition to the regular Volume (gain) pot. Turning either all the way down kills the output.

The MV pot is really crackly so I'm going to replace that, along with the on/off switch which is broken and the plug whichh lacks a third prong despite having the green ground wire.

Some of the mods are just over the top, but it's honestly the gnarliest little thing.

The filter caps are on back order because there's only one manufacturer now. Mallory used to make them and now CE does.

Guess who has a little rascal of a Fender on extended loan!
