HAX Ring-Modulator

Post by StudioShutIn »

I was just watching the PGS demo of the HAX the other day and it seems pretty cool, but I have a couple of questions..wondering if anybody can help me out here?
First, how effective is the blend control? with it all the way CCW, do you get just clean signal?
Second, in the video, it was kinda difficult to figure out what effect the Crash knob has on the pedal. I know it's a voltage-starve circuit (as so many Dwarfcraft pedals have :p )
but how that relates to a ring-modulator..I'm not sure :?: :idk:

My demo may shed some light...

The blend: It doesn't get quite perfectly clean, it's slightly muffled.
The crash: Makes the tracking/oscillator more chaotic, introduces distortion, generally fucks shit UUUPPPPP

when you use the crash knob, is it possible to rein in the volume of the 'glitch' effects by turning the blend closer to the 'dry' signal side?

oh! one other thing I wanted to ask Aen. Is the old artwork still available for the Hax?
If I get a Hax, I was hoping to get one that just has the word HAX and the grey 'dots and dashes' graphics,
instead of the weird rabbit thing on the one that Andy at PGS had in his demo.
Is the old design still available?
