Devi Bass Fuzz With Different Knobs

Post by Ginsly »

Hi - I bought a Devi Bass Fuzz off of someone last year, and after seeing pictures of it online, mine seems to be a bit different. The knobs are smaller, black, and of a different style than the usual ones, and I noticed that mine says Circuit By Mountking instead of Mountainking. Anybody have an explanation for this? I figured the guy I bought it from just switched the knobs, but now I'm not so sure..

Thanks!
Matt

Devi just got back to me - evidently it's legit, just a rare version of it. Woo hoo!

One of my favorite fuzzes. It is really is fantastic. I usually go with switch to the left, filter at about 9:00, volume at 1:00. Like a fucking buzzsaw!

Basically, mountainking made the circuit, and eventually gave it to effector 13/devi ever. Then I believe she turned it into the super massive black hole. Now, you'll find a similar circuit out from mountainking known as the magnetar.

So how much do you want for it? :snax:

Yep. I have a SMBH version, it's a good pedal, every time I pull it out I have fun with it, great with filters for synth sounds, but it also has such a distinctive sound that you have to really love the thing to use it a lot.

Yeah, it's (obviously) awesome on bass, too - I play passive basses, so it works really well with my setup. I definitely use it sparingly, though - it could tear people's heads off otherwise!

What is so wrong with that? If people didn't want their heads torn off, then they shouldn't listen to music.

It's all about personal responsibility.

Compys right, that's why I use the magnetar A LOT. Going for a face-free world.
