Take the plunge?

So I was down at the good old trade up music here in porkland oregon, killing time when I noticed there was an Sunn Concert Bass head for sale.

Needless to say it was awesome, I am not a person for hype but it was a killer head, good clean tones and with the right speakers attached too it could me a monstrous amp.

Money is tight for me now but I could swing this if I did a bunch of trade ins but all of this gear I am currently using but I would put an axe too it considering on how rare/ how much Sunn gear is going for these days.

Trade up is asking 450.

Am I fool to pass this up? Or should I wait until I have to cash in hand because one way or another I will need to buy a read head / cabinet.

Thoughts?

I would have to see how long they would let me put it on seeing as I have more expenses this month.

I have Sunn Concert Bass head and a Sunn Concert Lead. They are both SUPER KILLER amps for the money. But, dude... $450 is way more than what you can get these for on eBay. Try to talk them down to at least $300.

If they won't take $300 for it just wait for one to pop up on eBay or Craigslist. I got mine for $100 but I was super lucky. It's worth it to shop around!

$300 is about right. I paid $200 for mine and it was very well spent because its awesome. Sadly I think I fucked it up plugging the line out to record direct without plugging it into a speaker cab to bear the load. I'm not sure where to bring it or if it can be fixed but it sounded killer with my jazz bass. I like the beta bass amp too.

It seems like Sunn gear is not that hard to come by other than the large cabnites and heads
