One-Spot issues or no???

So I use a One Spot and had used a Godlyke Power All before. Had issues with both. Seems as though I'll be playing,and my sound'll cut out. And if I move the pedals around a bit,it'll cut back on. I don't get it. I have an extension that'll power up to 8(?)pedals. I don't use all of the avaiable plug-ins,as I'm only running 5 pedals. Could this have something to do with it? The pedals will all still be turned on,but no sound as soon as I make a sdden movement.

Sounds like a bad power cable or something's shorting out. (Do you have any loose ends on the daisychain? They could be hitting something -- that could potentially damage your pedals too, so tape them up).

Get a PP2 though.

Sounds like a bad power cable or something's shorting out. (Do you have any loose ends on the daisychain? They could be hitting something -- that could potentially damage your pedals too, so tape them up).

My OneSpot came with some little plastic things to cover the unused plugs. They have definitely shorted the shit out of my rig when uncovered.

My one-spot has always behaved itself... never had any problems what-so-ever... could it be the spare plugs are touching something? taping them up might do it...

Def worth a try -- and worth doing too anyway. I read a sob story somewhere about a daisy chain short killing some guy's pedal.

Now and then after rearranging I forget one and it shorts out everything if it makes contact with any metal.

I had the same thing happen on occasion..super scary when everything cuts out...better off going the pp2 route. I just got one and love it.

If the pedal industry would have just not put the positive on the outer barrel, that wouldn't be an issue, but noooo.

But, yeah, if they touch anything metal, like an enclosure, it basically grounds your power.

Also, your 1 Spot might be broken.

Yea, 1spots are supposed to come with those little rubber covers. Mine has never given me any trouble (aside from the aforementioned shorting/grounding out if metal touches)

Horrible ground loop issues with mine when running with certain pedals.

Any suggestions for a replacement power supply? Attraction of One Spot is that it was cheap. Ideally I'd like it to come with an 18V adapter too for my Mistress.

Does the One Spot itself come with the little covers? I got the One Spot and the 5 PRONG thing separately off Amazon... The One Spot hasn't arrived, but I got the 5 Spot in the mail today, and/but no rubber nipple covers. Perhaps they'll come with the One Spot when it gets here?

I have a Pedal Power 2 on my main board. It's a Pedaltrain and it fits really well in the custom holder thing underneath. I've had my PP2 for almost a decade and I've NEVER had a problem with it. If you have more than like 5 or 6 pedals, it's definitely worth the investment to get the PP2.

I'm putting together a fuzz board with 4 pedals (and one battery driven extra), and I'm putting them on a Pedaltrain Mini which doesn't have a PP2 slot under it. So I got the One Spot and the 5 daisy chain. We'll see how it goes.

I'm guessing I could go to the local hardware store and buy the one cap I need if it doesn't come with.
