15" replacement

Post by Derelict78 »

so I fused the 15 in my epifani 115 and now im looking for a replacement. I am running a fender bassman 300 pro into it. looking for something doomy. i almost always am running channel 2 so something that sounds good with very full distortion. Any suggestions?

Doomy? by that do you mean old school? What didn't you like about the original speaker?

Eminence makes a bunch of stuff now, but they are all at 300w [many companies use them though]
My favorite 15 is a Celestion BN15-300X but you have no idea how much bullshit I had to go though to get it :grumpy:
Old JBL D140Es are the shit for old school as they are, but you'd have to go used or NOS, but what a sound!
I also like B&C speakers but I only have used them in "12s

Our bassist has an old peavey with a black widow.

It just so happens to be sex.

ill take a pic soon but the cone will not move and there is a hole burned through it. It was rated at 400 watts and my bassman puts out 300 so i dont know how it happened. plus my amps master volume does not ever rise above 3.
