Black Eye Clean Boost

Post by voojo »

Any thoughts on the Black Eye Clean Boost? I just ordered one up from Jamie. I've only found a few reviews, but they seem pretty positive. I know it uses a mosfet which is the same thing the Z.Vex Super Hard On uses. Sounds like it adds a touch of sparkle & girth to the sound.

Jamie also told me that newer models can run on 18 Volts.

Did anybody ever do a sweet demo of this pedal?

Pro Guitar Shop has a great demo on their site. I just picked one up from Jamie along with the crimson drive and they create a beautiful mess together! I haven't messed with the internal trim yet, but it sounds great. Does anyone have any feedback on adjusting the trim?

How do you like the Crimson Drive? I'm interested but haven't heard much about them.

I have a crimson drive mk2.... Im not very experienced with pedals yet, but it sounds amazing on its own, and really adds to my sound if i stack it with my tone reaper. It can add a fair amount of treble to the pretty bassy Reaper... I like it however i use it basically :)
