I'm pretty sure that after a while he ended up doing everything on Dinosaur records. He also plays drums (and guitar solos) in the band Sweet Apple.

You know I passed the house of the guys I used to jam with a bit the other day, and I heard him drumming for the first time in ages. Not only that, I could hear it from the other end of the fucking street as if my ear was up against it.

Drums are loud motherfuckers.

he was a drummer in a band before Dinosaur Jr. a more detailed account is in Dinosaur Jr. chapter of Our Band Could Be Your Life cuz that's where i first read about it.
