electra distortion : footswitchable input gain wiring?

Post by aussy »

I'd like to build an electra distortion (or more specifically, a melx2) with a footswitchable input gain pot
I love the sparkly cleanup it gets, so it'd be nice to have a preset, 'cleaner' setting
it'd be like having two channels, clean (or cleaner) and dirty
I was thinking a footswitch, either to switch between two different input gain settings set via pots, or just introduce a single pot that lowers the input gain

Is this the correct wiring for just a simple, footswitchable, input gain control?
Image
left footswitch is the bypass, right is input gain

Also, which cap is the 'emitter' which is supposedly excluded from the Melx? I've been looking at culturejam's layouts.
