when did V2 come out? would you have a number?

and what kind of issues were you getting with V1 that got fixed?

December '09 I'd say, I heard about it from the PGS video for the v2 which popped up around them.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

BECAUSE IT IS TOP SECRET!

Well not really, more just confusing. "Official" V2s starting rolling out some time in November of '09, but that's just the short answer. The long answer is that for the previous 3 or so months we were already starting to implement different changes to the V1 boards, first one mod, then adding another, then another... eventually culminating with the release of the "official" V2. So for instance if you were to pick up an V1 from October '09 chances are very good that you would be getting a V1 circuit board modded to 95% V2 specs. I just made up that percentage, but for something that is not easily quantifiable Ifeel its representative. If you picked up a V1 from Aug-Sep '09 it could have anywhere from 1-4 of the 6-7 V2 changes. The reason its not easily quantifiable is because although we can count the number of changes we made, all of the changes don't have an equal effect on the feel/function of the circuit. Some of them are very important to making it a V2 and some were just minor tweaks.

If you want 100% V2, look at the pcb - it will say it. For V1s from transistion period, the only real way for us to tell you where your circuit stands in that evolution chain is if we get a photo of the guts.
