Guided by Voices classic lineup tour!!

Post by spacelordmother »

Oh man, I am soooo stoked for this! I only got to see them once (touring for Half Smiles of the Decomposed) and omg omg omg this tour is for all the oldies and goodies (Bob and the boys included)

GbV! GbV! GbV!

I tried to find clips where the sound could be discerned, but were still kinda lo-fi. That's how the boys would want it.

They are certainly awesome live. I am definitely going to try to get tickets to the Atlanta show, as long as they don't sell out in 14 seconds,. I want them to play "A Salty Salute" so I can jump around and yell when he sings about clubs being open! Fuck yeah! That is probably the best part of a GBV show. That and Robert slowly getting hammered and saltate around in his Robert kind of way.

This is the first time I have ever used the word "saltate". Congratulations!

Hooray! :omg:

Also, I had to look up what the word "saltate" means. And now I'm just cruising around dictionary.com looking at new words. :omg:

I was so happy last night, sitting in a pub working on a project, when they started playing "A Salty Salute!"

I'm praying that Seattle doesn't sell out. I will be attempting to get mine as soon as they go on sale Monday morning...

Well, this is Bob so we all know he's not going to stop writing songs any time soon. There will surely be other tours!

Definitely. I saw Boston Spaceships a year or two ago and it pretty much felt and sounded like a GBV show. I doubt there is a day that goes by where he doesn't write, at the very least, 37 songs.

Also, I call a bottle of gin "a project" too! We're project buddies! :joy:
