some pedal demos

Post by aussy »

Was bored, so I thought I'd demo the Hellbender :idk:
An excellent excuse to test out my recording gear
I'm not sure it fits my style though, so I struggled to fit its

Hellbender for first 2 minutesish, two settings: vintagey fuzz, less vintagey (but still vintage, no doubt) muffy fuzz
Then clean for a second, then kick on the Honey Bee
Then deluxe memory man (my love) demo for the rest of it really
Any dirt from this point will be from the HB, all other effects from DMM

Playing: middle position (single neck, bridge hum) --> pedals --> matchless lightning (vox top boosty amp)
Recording: shure sm57 close mic'd off axis, tascam dp008 interface (what a fun device)

Sloppy playing, was drunk, a cat was scratching my face while playing, etc. etc.
improvised yada yada, just short ditties that popped into my head due to pedal inspiration
overdub on the hellbender demo though, it needed a little zazz

Also, realized there are some short clips (suuuuper lofi, recorded with 50 cent plug in mic) of my old pitch pirate up there too
Don't sound too great, but shows off a lot of the neat things it can do!
edit: oh yeah, the delay in the pitch pirate clips is a sunny day, not that you can hear its glory
