what can you tell me about the Ground Swell?

what do you like about it specifically?

It goes from a light OD to partial fuzz territory. The Volt control is especially useful in dialing a crunchy kind of sound. However, you can get smoother sounds at lower gain settings. If you like versatility, you'll love the Groundswell.

sounds great except when i disengage the pedal no signal comes through.

That thing is super, super versatile. There are so many great tones to be had.

Groundswell = the most natural sounding overdrive pedal I've heard. No volume drop. No low cut. Good for the ass rocking tones with some serious balls and making baby Jebus cry. Bumps up Your tele into meaty rock goodness, uh, and gives Your vintage Rickenbacker bass guitars a swollen dirty lower end boost with classical 70's heavy rock overdriven midrange with metal tasting trebles. Ahh...

Doesn't like buffers, doesn't like active electronics and is picky with high gain pedals in front of it but - either way a great, great deal for a psychedelic rock acid-greased steel wool over drive sound.
