One of the most incredible guitar pieces evar. How did Eddie Hazel get that grindy fuzz? Obviously the wah helps... and the delay

I agree!
it sounds like the gain isn't too high on the fuzzface so it takes on that maestro fz-1 flavor.

This very topic came up on another site, my guess was -

I also don't think he used the Maestro and it was more likely a Univox Super Fuzz and stealing Eddies fingers of course.

The manual for the 535Q wah says that you put fuzz, then wah for that Maggot Brain tone.......
That's just what I read. A concidence that that's what I do anyway........
