SUPER PUNX BASS

So, my guitar building buddy Shane always wanted to learn bass. And, I had this old P-bass I assembled from eBay parts bought on the cheap. But, Shane's currently obsessed with being punk as fuck. So, we decided to strip the finish, and wheat paste fliers and cut-outs from a Razorcake onto the bass, then clear coat it.


Dis-assembled parts.

Pastin' the fliers. Note the gross stuff in the pan. That's what wheat paste looks like. Yeah. Sick.

Clear coatin'. We put on so much clear. So much.

Super vintage solder that was at Shane's house. The rosin actually resembled rosin when heated. Like bow rosin. It poured out really fast when the solder melted. Never seen that happen ever.

The bass in it's finished state! We cut down the pickguard, and painted it black. There's no volume or tone knobs. Straight to the jack.

So, it turned out well. The next build: doubleneck guitar/bass in the vein of a RD artist.

He does! I think he left it at home though, he's currently studying in England. But yeah! Shit rules.
