hey, it might be common knowledge around here but i thought some of you guys might dig this little pedal mod i tried a year or so ago which can get you some pretty fuzzy 8bit sounds by just making one connection on an existing board. apparently it works with any common tubescreamer but i tried it on an arion tubulator and it worked fine.
but yeah, ill just link you to the original thread, credit to the guy who made it up etc etc

Re: 8bit tubulator
i'm actually seriously considering buying a ts7 and doing this (as i can't find a tubulator)
actually, would it be possible to have a switch from tubescreamer to 8bit? because then you could have a sort of two-in-one.

Re: 8bit tubulator
well ill quickly say that whe ni looked there were no shortage of them on ebay for less than a tenner. probably from japanese vendors, cant remember
and urmm i dont see why not. i really dont know anything about customizing gear at all but i dont see why you couldnt make the one connection footswitchable.
EDIT:
actually i just looked on ebay and there was only one for like £40. if you dont mind buying a poor condition one to fix up yourself ill sell you mine for a 5er or something like that. after a couple too many knocks my (very poor) soldering job kicked the bucket so its not in working condition today but i dont see why it couldnt be fixed up in the future. ill take a picture of the innards if youre interested, maybe thatd tell you whether or not its fixable

Re: 8bit tubulator
Since its just a matter of connecting two solder points together to do it, then yeah, you could wire that up to any flipswitch easily.

Yeah man, if it's just connecting two points on the board a simple SPST switch oughta do ya. Get it!
