buffer making weird faint sounds?
I noticed that whenever I play high notes on my lower e string, there is this weird glitchy bitcrushed suboctave going on behind the notes. I noticed it on a clean amp to give you an idea of how loud it is. I already unplugged my chain and ran direct in, but I still had that sound. I still had my effects loop to my amp plugged in though, and the only two pedals in it are the true bypass hardwire chorus and a tech 21 boost dla with tap tempo. I'm almost positive it is the delay buffer doing that, but I was just wondering if anyone else ever had that happen or notice that with tech 21 buffers. My amp is a 100w peavey valveking.

Nah, if you unplugged everything like you said it's your amp. Replace the tube that's causing the problem and you'll be back to makin fuzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in no time.

Sounds like a tube...though not necessarily a bad tube...maybe just loose. Or maybe being caused by sympathetic vibration from your amp. Go get that putty weather stripping stuff and line every corner of your amp inside, around the speaker, etc...you'll probably be surprised by the improvement!
