It's weird to me that he's known for those fancy ass Electric/Green/Matamp things but every live pic I see is usually a rented backline of Ampegs.

Simple explanation: Ampegs are industry standard for backlines, Electric/Green/Matamps are not.

I think it'd be difficult, if not nearly impossible, to find anyplace that rents Electric/Green/Matamps.

My explanation is usually,"Doesn't want/can't afford to lug his amps around on tour"

The Micro-POG is new.

Also I think he's using a couple SS heads now.

He used those new fancy looking portaflexes and an SVT when he came through Denton earlier this year.

Yeah, those are the Solid State-ers.

I'm pretty sure he borrows whatever he can get. In 09 he had a bunch of White Emperors, an SVT and a plexi clone. As long as it "sounds vintage."

what happens if the building is on fire?
does he just burn to death? or does he manage to slowly amble his way to safety?

he's carried to safety in a golden chalice by guys who worship his big muff collection.
he then eats an egg salad sandwich with the crusts cut off with a glass of prune juice, whilst reading a popular mechanics magazine.

seriously, i love his playing, always been a fan. but if i met him, i'd have to slip him a hit of E in his prune juice in order to have a conversation.
