JUST put new strings on, stretch them out and tune up, jamming out some new riffs I'm working on and the A string breaks on me at the bridge  Which is even more frustrating because it's one of only 3 strings that aren't tuned up. And my hate for Ernie Ball Strings is reinforced...

This also caused me to wake up a little early this morning. Not cool, body, not cool. If I had done something to it yesterday I would understand, but this came out of nowhere.
It's torture.

growing pains? not sure how old you are, but that's what it sounds like...or something tendicular (it's now a word, dealwithit.png)

I doubt it is growing pains, but I hope you're right. Probably just slept on it wrong.
It could be a tendon thing. Hopefully not.

Gah, so apparently the power in our entire apartment keeps browning out, and it's happening to the people downstairs, too. The people downstairs claim they're not plugging in anything differently, but they just moved in, and they moved in a ton of stuff.. I wouldn't be surprised if they were arc welding down there or something..

That actually sounds like a repetitive strain injury. You be very careful. Do some research into RSIs. They're nothing to fool around with.

In the meantime, if you're doing any repetitive tasks at all, stay loose, take lots of breaks and do a lot of stretching.

So tired this morning that I think when it gets to lunch time I'm going to just go sit in my car and go to sleep.

I had one of those mornings where you wake up long enough to say "I'm awake" then fall back asleep. This happened about six times and when I finally woke up (at 1:30), I thought today was tomorrow and panicked. I emailed one of my professors telling them that I forgot to set up a proctor, and basically asking for pity. Realized it was Tuesday immediately after sending, and had to send ANOTHER email explaining that I had a rough morning and telling them that I will still be trying to set up a proctor, although I will be in town on Thursday and Friday, (Not Wednesday like I had made it sound), and would like to take the test on campus, if there would be no penalty.

And then I let the dog out, and left him at the back door while I wrote my emails, but he magically ended up back in the living room. That worries me because A) I let him in and forgot that I did it or B) Someone broke in while I was in the same room. Probably A.

I have the feeling that today is going to suck.

I keep seeing my ex around campus and she keeps giving these fucking annoying, sincere, smiles. And the other day she shouted out my name in the student center and I just waved and walked away because 1) I didn't want to go ask her some generalized question that I didn't give a shit about the answer to and 2) I didn't want to be introduced to whoever the guy was she was talking to. I hate that despite her being a boring and seemingly empty person, that when I see her I get miserable thinking about the feelings I had.

Also I'm kind of worried, because I got myself into a situation that I am going to go meet up with a girl tomorrow I met in an obscure way. Also I'm meeting her parents because I feel it's somewhat needed in the situation. Seeing as she is 18 and I just turned 21. The age difference is REALLY weird for me because 3/4 of my girlfriends have been older, and my most recent ex was the only one younger and it was only by 2 months. Also she lives like an hour and a half away. Good news is, so far she is really really cool, very similar, and actually interesting.

INTERNET! HEAR MY WOES!

So... I'm taking calc II and I've never done this bad in a math class. Also, I'm working harder for this math class than I have any other math class. It's not like I don't have time to study, I'm only taking two classes. It's simply that he is testing the material in a way that's MUCH harder than it needs to be to test the concept. For instance: I had a take home quiz over the weekend. It was five questions long and I spent at least two hours on one question. It wasn't because I did't understand the chapter section that was covered, or that I hadn't spent time doing the voluntary homework for that section, it was because in order to answer the question you had to: remember how to factor a difference of cubes, how to complete the square, and you had to know how to factor X-1 into 1/2*(2X+1-3). I knew how to do integration by parts and the trigonometric substitution, which was what the quiz was on, and even figured out the difference of cubes and completing the square. What I couldn't figure out was what to do with X-1 when I got that. I went to the math lab after I turned it in to have someone help me with it and the first person had to call over a second person to help out, and neither of them could understand why the professor had made it that hard.

I just tried to switch into a different section with a professor I've had before. It's at 7:30 in the morning, so I had to get up at six. And I get there and they're getting ready to take a test. Also, they're six sections ahead of the class that I'm in  I'd try for a different section but there's a chance I'd be in an equally shitty class and have to play catch-up

Calculus can eat a dick. Was forced into that shit in high school...

You know what I'm doing in math now? COUNTING. "If A is critical 5 times and B is critical 3 times, who's more important?"

Underachiever wins!
