re-tuning (up or down) will impact string tension, which you might like or not. and changes in string tension will require re-intonating the guitar, which if you don't do may lead to pleasurable or disturbing changes in how particular voicings sound - some may end up being deformed closer to just tuned ratios, for example, which you might like, or they may be pushed even farther away from just than ET already is, which you may like or not.

and depending on your surroundings, tuning to 432, 440, or whatever other number may mean you are getting some resonance from objects around you. but that would be specific to those surroundings. 432 might enhance some resonance in one room and nothing in another.

but the figure 432 (or 440, or any other number) doesn't have any inherently special or distinct universal qualities. if you've retuned and re-intonated, the overtone series of whatever you are playing will have exactly the same ratios and aesthetic qualities in 432, 440, or whatever other reference pitch you choose. e.g., a perfect 5th at 440 and a perfect 5th at 432 will both have ratios of 3:2.

also worth noting that having a fixed universal reference pitch is primarily a western musical concept (though becoming more common as western music becomes more pervasive). for contrast, in indian classical music the starting point is for the soloist to find his/her own 'sa' - the root note of a piece, which they choose based on their own voice/preference/instrument. then the other players tune to that. that lineage of music is far more sensitive to microtonal pitch issues than western/ET-based music, and has no inherent preference toward 432 or 440.

When I saw Rhys Chatham a couple months ago he tuned to 3:2 (specifically, low to high: "D, A, E octave, another A octave and then the C") and it sounded fucking rowdy.

The beat feels jerky. Is the audio just slowed down? If so, it's funny how it doesn't feel as smooth anymore.
