It's going to be difficult for me to take anyone seriously when he/she can't refrain from grammatical errors when pointing out someone's misspellings...

(ensure, not insure. If he wants to take out an insurance policy on Devi, awesome!)

Secondly, it is blatent blatant plagiarism. Any court would agree.

Finally, I wouldn't really worry if I was were Devi. Fact is, Devi Ever FX have/has a pretty good name for themselves/herself at the moment. Anyone I know, who has have half the brain capacity of a gnat when it comes to effects, knows know brands like DE, ZVex, E13 and other well known boutique companies. Who the fuck are is JHS? Any of my friends, when they have the need for a loud crazy fuzz, instantly go to the DE site. So even if she looses loses 1% of her customers to these JHS fuckwits, everyone knows that it's not going to really matter. If they're going to get any sort of a name for themselves, it'll be for being plagiarising, thieving little shitstroms.

So the scoreline reads:

Devi Ever FX >9000 - 0 JHSFUCKWITS FX

Actually, it's not really the same thing. Devi has not, at any point, attempted to deny that the circuits that make up the Silver Rose are clones.

They are also out of production.

also one of those pedals on eBay costs as much as the clone of the two of them plus the eq, so despite the seemingly high price, its p much two old school "holy grail" pedals in one. and would you rather have that for $350, or pay upwards of $400 for a Super Fuzz and roughly the same for an IC Big Muff coming to a total of around $800?

$400 FOR AN ICBM?!?!?!? HOLY CRAP! WHERE ARE YOU LOOKING?

I don't know, Joshy. I take a bit of umbrage with your comma placement and "have" choice in the third sentence of that paragraph. I would have kept it the way the quoted poster had it:

"Anyone I know who has half the brain capacity of a gnat when it comes to effects knows brands like etc..."

When the OP says "anyone I know", he is speaking about one person out of many, thus that one person would "know", not "knows"; likewise, it would be "Anyone I know has", not "Anyone I know have".

It's certainly not a well-phrased sentence, but I'd say that it was at least grammatically correct.

And now it's 4 o'clock and I haven't done shit all day.

I was attempting to match the writing style that was already set in place with the following sentence:
trad3mark wrote:Any of my friends, when they have the need for a loud crazy fuzz, instantly go to the DE site.

Working on a cohesive piece here.

But, you wouldn't say "I has" or "you has", unless you were a kitteh! :idk:

Edit: I think you are correct regarding the has/have. 3rd person singular would be "has". amirite?

It begs the question... if Electro Harmonix ever decided to dip its wick into the enormously lucrative boutique market by say... releasing a Stomp Under Foot style retrospective on its Big Muff circuits... would everyone back down?

Probably not... I think there's a bit of a public domain aspect even the most ardent of "ethical" cloners feel comes into play after so many years of a circuit being out of production.

On that note, has there been any companies beyond MXR and Ibanez who have tried to cash in on the "vintage spec" boutique market?

I was about to say I'm a little surprised EH hasn't ever gone that route... but then again they seem to be more about moving forward and keeping things cheap rather than looking back and trying to artificially inflate the value of their current line with boutique hype (Here's looking at you $400 Ibanez Tube Screamer re-issue).
This message is most likely very old, so things said here probably don't apply to the current state of all things devi ever. As always, you can visit www.deviever.com for the latest on devi ever related projects.

Sorry, I don't take comments about my grammar from Americants. Your country single handedly destroyed a beautiful language by doing retarded things like spelling the word cheque simpler, for your nation of simpletons.

Your efforts were fail. For example:
"Devi Ever FX has a pretty good name for themselves...." is perfectly correct, as Devi Ever FX is a registered company. I don't know if they have more than one employee.

This continues right through. So when your country learn a proper language, you can give me a shout.

Funny you should mention that devi. I'm a massive fan of the Muff circuit. I remember emailling EHX about the copyright on it a while ago. I got an email back from Mike himself, and he said "anyone can build whatever they like. They just can't call it a Big Muff."

He's not a man of many words, but it seems that it's the actual name of the pedal, ie "Big Muff" that's trademarked/copywritten.

I don't know if that changes anything, but there ya go.

Clean blend on the Silver Rose would have me very interested if I were a real bassist. The set of handy features on the box is a step above the typical boutique cloner nonsense. (Cough! Fulltone. Cough!) The idea of putting all that together in one is probably more original than at least 3/4 of what's out there.

Wow, way to be both a cock AND wrong. "Has" is singular and "themselves" is plural. If you had said "Devi Ever FX has a pretty good name for itself" your comment would have been valid. Since Devi Ever FX is a registered company, it is being referred to in the singular ("has a pretty good...") but you mess that up with "themselves", implying multiplicity. Way to fuck up the beautiful language you seem so desperate to protect.

Asshole.

**EDIT** Also, way to use commas, stupid.

But you originally said "have"!!!!!!! The only reason I included the "/has" is because you also said "herself". These are rules not created by Americans.

I've had conversations with Irish people in my time, and you can't convince me that we're the only country to ruin the english language.
