I like the flashback because of the toneprint feature and because it's pretty awesome. But I had to vote for the digidelay.. because it's the only one I own and the only one I've ever owned soooo... yeah...
also- I think it's interesting that the EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Jr. has (5%, 0 Votes)

just threw in a vote for EQD
I own a ghost dissaster so I think I can weigh in safely.
My echobox was over the price point by a few bucks which is sad but EQD should have way more consideration.
Sad also that the VFE Blueprint is off this list, it slays a carbon copy but I don't think enough people have played it.

Sound on Sound mode on the el Capistan is slowly making it my favorite of the ones I've tried.
Dr. Sherm Sticks' Space Time Continuum was also a kick ass delay, but that's a DIY-only thing now, I believe.
Montavillian Echo has very pretty repeats as well.

I live my Digilog, the oscillation switch was exactly what I wanted on a delay. So easy to make sexy swoooooooshes

Still love the disaster transport circuit. I'm a sucker for tape/ tape emulation

Memory Boy, sounds good, and I can have several of them for a low price. I like the simplicity of it.

Bumping an old thread because I just thought of it.
I've been a delay junky ever since I got ahold of my first delay about 3 years ago- a DOD FX90 Delay. I'd been on the hunt since then for the perfect delay ever since.
I'd tried:
DOD FX90- Really awesome delay, just wish it didn't suck tone as much as it did.
DOD DFX9 Digital Delay- One of my favorites, I love the mini looper for textures.
Boss DD7- Use it more for its looping then the actual delays it has.
Synthrotek Lo-Fi Delay- I circuit bent this and made it have optical CV, its more for noise now, but the repeats sound analog when in normal mode.
Sirkut Nagging Sister- In practical settings this was a neat overdrive/delay combo. In non-practical settings, this was a giant wall of noise goodness.
EQD Ghost Disaster- Really excellent. What I got rid of to get the El Cap. My only complaint is how easy the delay oscillates without getting longer repeats.
Maxon AD999- THE BEST analog delay. Awesome oscillations for textures too.
TC Electric Nova Repeater- Workhorse. Still have it, it gets shit done.
Malekko Echo 616- Neat delay, sounded decent. The modulation was neat. I noticed mine clicked a lot though.
Ibanez AD99- Super awesome analog delay. Just wish the delays were longer, and that the delay was stronger.
Before finally getting an El Capistan delay last week. It's killer, and definitely what I was looking for, without having a volume decrease, repeats out the ass, and really nifty features. It's almost TOO much, which I'd rather have instead of not enough.
I've got a Disaster Transport en route, I'm going to give that a try just to see what I think.

I'm checking out the Flashback from Behndy, and it caught me off guard, how good it sounds on bass. I expected to use it only for a basic looping, but with the toneprint stuff, it gets super duper versatile. I'm digging it a lot.

Still loving my Frequency Central Atomic Clock Delay, love the filter, LFO and oscillation.
Also loving the Snazzy FX Wow and Flutter, not a delay out there like it. While most delays use LFOs for modulation and crazy vibrato tones, the modulation and broken tape sounds are envelope generated, making things much more unpredictable and varied. It's not the best for everything though as sustained tones don't really modulate like they do with the Atomic Clock. I'm glad I have both!

Of everything I've tried I think I like the TC Electronics Nova Repeater best.

I have the DFX94 an I agree the infinite mode is awesome.
Also adjusted the trimpots for oscillation, which isn't the best, but it's still there.
I got mine for a steal, too.
Definitely recommend anyone who's into those kind of short texture loops to get either of these.
I really like that you can add to the loop whenever you want, but not everything you play has to be looped.
